Stress Check-In: Mindfulness Practice – Accessing Your Inner Calm
Mindfulness is the act of consciously focusing one’s mind in the present moment without judgement. It can help one to become more aware of what is going on internally and externally. Benefits of practicing mindfulness may include an increased ability to regulate emotions, decreased stress, anxiety, and depression. It can also lead to increased focus and attention, being more present with others, making better decisions, and engaging more fully in life. Participants will participate in brief mindfulness practices allowing time to share insights and challenges to gain more perspective about the practice.
